The Society was founded in 1902 and is one of the oldest angling clubs in the country. We have 3 well established fisheries located in the south east of England and our membership comprises friendly, welcoming, anglers who enjoy and appreciate traditional coarse fishing in pleasant surroundings.
Our Waters
Weyside Lake, Ripley, Surrey
The land for Weyside Lake was purchased by CLPS and then dug to our specification in 1998. It covers approx 3.5 acres, has a uniform depth of 6-8 feet, 2 islands and lots of willow and alder trees as the main features. It has been stocked as a mixed fishery and includes Mirror, Common and Ghost Carp, Crucians, Tench including a few Golden Tench, Bream, Roach, Rudd, Perch and Gudgeon. There are several swims for disabled anglers and secure vehicle parking. Since its inception the lake and its surroundings have fully matured making this fishery an idyllic location for both the experienced and novice angler alike.
River Colnbrook, Wraysbury, Surrey
The fishery can easily be accessed from either Junction 13 or 14 of the M25.
The fishery is approximately three quarters of a mile in length and extends along the west bank southwards to the automatic weir near Wraysbury Station. It has two flood relief channels (lagoons).
The fishery is classed as a mixed fishery with Carp, Pike, Barbel, Chub, Eels, Roach, plus Perch, Dace, Gudgeon, Bleak and Minnows.
River Loddon, Wargrave, Berkshire
The fishery is situated off the A321, South West of Wargrave and is approximately three quarters of a mile in length
The river is classed as a mixed fishery, with Pike, Barbel, Bream, Chub, Eels, Roach, Perch, Dace to 10oz, Plus Gudgeon, Bleak and river Carp.
